Apparent Neutron Porosity to True Porosity Conversion

Project description

NPHIconvert is the tool to convert the apparent limestone neutron porosity to true neutron porosity depending upon the formations.

The apparent limestone neutron porosity is converted to the following formation's true porosity:

  1.  Calcite or Sandstone
  2.  Dolomite

NPHIconvert also enable user to convert the formation true porosity to the apparent limestone neutron porosity that allows user to develop the crossover between the NPHI (Apparent Porosity) and RHOB (Bulk Density).

Requirements and Installations

This code has been developed in python 3.9.0 and it is compatible with the python version over 3.5.0.

The code can be run directly from the cloned repository or it can be installed as a package through pip.

Output :

  1. Conversion of apparent limestone neutron porosity to true formation porosity to estimate effective porosity
  2. Conversion of true formation porosity to apparent limestone neutron porosity to build crossover
