Formerly ArchPackage, PloneSoftwareCenter is a tool that keeps track of software projects, software releases, and other related information; it was originally written to power the download area of


  • Add Products.PloneSoftwareCenter to your instance section’s eggs parameter.

  • Run buildout.

  • Install in Quick Installer (Site Setup -> Add-on products).

  • added a pluggable storage mechanism for downloadable files. This can be used to define new storage strategies in independant packages. They will then be available in PloneSoftwareCenter instances, under the new “storage strategy” field. PSC provides a default strategy called archetype that uses a regular ZODB persistency.
