Python bindings for the Transmission BitTorrent Client
NOTE This package is considered deprecated, as it only works with Transmission version 1.2.x, which still used sockets to communicate with the transmission daemon. If you’re looking for python bindings that work with current versions of Transmission, look at transmissionrpc.
Transmission has recently introduced a RPC architecture in which it launches an independent daemon listening on a local socket and exposes a rich API for monitoring and controlling Transmission. This makes it much easier and ‘cleaner’ to implement clients in other languages, which is what this package aims to do.
