# A Health Checker for Linux This python script will regularly check key Linux health items and report to a log file
## Installation ` pip install ardexa-black-box `
## Operation and Log Files - The cron entry will run the script every 5 minutes. - Results will be logged in the file /var/log/ardexa-black-box.log - If high CPU, or SWAP usage is detected, further details will be logged in the file: var/log/ardexa-black-box-dumps.log - Log files will be kep for 180 days, and rotated daily
## Changes on Feb 2018. Vers 1.5.0 1. Collect and log variables from Agent V2.0.0 2. Allow NS Lookup ardexa.broker.com using 8.8.8.8, if the DNS is bad 3. Take a copy of resolv.conf at the start of the day. Also take a copy when the DNS is bad 4. Will now try to ping broker.ardexa.com instead of google.com
