Python bindings for embedding Chromium browser in desktop applications

Project description

CEF Python provides python bindings for the Chromium Embedded Framework (in short CEF). CEF is a web browser control based on Chromium and lets you implement an HTML 5 based GUI or provide browser capabilities in a desktop application. Examples of embedding CEF browser are available for many popular GUI toolkits including: wxPython, PyGTK, PyQt, Kivy, Panda3D and PyWin32.

On Windows after installing to run some examples go to examples/ directory that is inside cefpython3/ package. It is recommended to run the wxpython.py example which presents the most features, see:

C:/Python27/Lib/site-packages/cefpython3/examples/

For Linux downloads see: https://code.google.com/p/cefpython/wiki/Download_CEF3_Linux

Porting to Mac is still under development.
