Clustering software for coarse parallel processing.
Project description
The depalma software provides clustering software for coarse parallel processing. This is not a low level library like MPI or PVM. This is for longer running jobs that you have many instances of. An ideal application would be running many small simultaneous simulations that take several minutes each. XML-RPC is used to distribute jobs around a cluster of machines. There is also an XML-RPC interface provided to the master server, so that the user can dynamically load jobs and monitor job progress on the cluster.
