The Basic Idea

pygallica-autobib will match your bibliographies against the French National Library and download articles as pdfs if possible, optionally post-processing them.

Installing gallica-autobib

Install the latest release:

pip install gallica-autobib

Or you can clone gallica-autobib and get started locally

# ensure you have Poetry installed
pip install --user poetry

# install all dependencies (including dev)
poetry install

# develop!
