Geospatial extension to HDF files
geohdf is a geospatial extension to Hierarchical Data Format (HDF).
The purpose of geohdf is to automatically reading geotiff files and manipulating and storing it as a geohdf file (hdf5 file with geo attributes and methods) and vice versa.
- reads automatically geotiff datasets, coordinate reference systems (crs), geo-transforms and other parameters.
- stores datasets as geohdf (hdf5) file and saves crs, geotransform etc. as its attributes automatically.
- geoslices datasets using bounding box and saves sliced data as geotiff or geohdf file
- re-projects datasets.
- stores very large geotiff files as geohdf file, thus provides fast reading, slicing and writing speed.
