A python api to google directions

Project description

Introduction

To access google’s directions api, you call a webservice and google returns a json-like javascript dict. This must be parsed and you may then get all directions-results out of it, as waypoints, total distance, corrected addresses and more.

Usage

>>> from google.directions import GoogleDirections
>>> gd = GoogleDirections('your-google-directions-key')
>>> gd.query('berlin','paris').distance
1055351

And remember, these are driving distances, not just beeline ;)

Have fun!

Changelog

0.1 - Unreleased

0.2* - JS Parsers, DOM Parser fully working, Google API is working, but minimal.
