IBM SDK for Python
Project description
This package allows Python developers to write software that interacts with IBM Cloud Object Storage. It is based on boto3 and can stand as a drop-in replacement.
Quick Start
First, install the library and set a default region:
$ pip install ibm-cos-sdk
Next, set up credentials (in e.g. ~/.aws/credentials):
[default]
aws_access_key_id = YOUR_KEY
aws_secret_access_key = YOUR_SECRET
Then, set up a default region (in e.g. ~/.aws/config):
[default]
region=us-geo
Then, from a Python interpreter:
>>> import ibm-cos-sdk
>>> cos = boto3.resource('s3')
>>> for bucket in cos.buckets.all():
print(bucket.name)

$ cd ibm-cos-sdk-python
$ virtualenv venv
...
$ . venv/bin/activate
$ pip install -r requirements.txt
