IbPython lets traders and investors use Python’s command line console to interact with Interactive Brokers (IB) servers using a native Python implementation of IB’s API software, allowing these institutional and retail investors to create their own automated rule-based trading systems that take advantage of IB’s high-speed order routing and broad market coverage.
