Rationale
For learning on the web you have freecodecamp or an online course of your choice, but what if you wanted to study and practice Python at your own computer and do it on the command line?
How to start
You should have a working installation of Python on your computer and a terminal, or console, open.
Install lamr
:
pip install lamr
Check it works:
lamr --help
Code examples
lamr
provides a collection of code examples, stored as plain text files.
You can use lamr code
and lamr run
to see the code listing or run the files.
>>> lamr code --list
cal.py Print today's date and a calendar for current month.
x.py A Twitter clone (maybe).
>>> lamr run cal
