Up to date remote data access for pandas, works for multiple versions of pandas.
Usage
Starting in 0.19.0, pandas no longer supports pandas.io.data or pandas.io.wb, so you must replace your imports from pandas.io with those from pandas_datareader:
from pandas.io import data, wb # becomes
from pandas_datareader import data, wbMany functions from the data module have been included in the top level API.
import pandas_datareader as pdr
pdr.get_data_fred('GS10')Documentation

Development documentation is available for the latest changes in master.
Installation
Requirements
Using pandas datareader requires the following packages:
pandas>=0.19.2
lxml
requests>=2.3.0
wrapt
Building the documentation additionally requires:
matplotlib
ipython
sphinx
sphinx_rtd_theme
Testing requires pytest.
Install latest release version via pip
$ pip install pandas-datareaderInstall latest development version
$ pip install git+https://github.com/pydata/pandas-datareader.gitor
$ git clone https://github.com/pydata/pandas-datareader.git
$ python setup.py install2 maintainers
