Quick and easy loading bar for your Python scripts

Project description

progress_pybar

The progress bar accepts two arguments

the object you are iterating

items: Union[dict, list, str]

and the length of the bar

bar_: int = 70

The string argument is synonymous with the path of a file This argument represents the length of the object, thus the number of iterations the progress bar will repeat through This number affects the incremental percentage increase

The bar argument represents the length of the bar, by default an ideal length for an 80x24 terminal

from time import sleep

from progress import ProgressBar

items = ["list", "of", "things"]

def enumerate_items() -> None:
    progress = ProgressBar(items, 70)
    for count, item in enumerate(items):
        progress.bar(count)
        sleep(0.5)
    progress.complete()
    print()
