Parallel-tempered emcee.

Project description

This is the version of ptemcee used for orbitize! This is a medium-term solution for ptemcee not being actively maintained. This version branches from ptemcee at the pypi v1 release on Aug 28, 2015.

ptemcee: (noun):

Adaptive parallel tempering meets emcee.

ptemcee, pronounced “tem-cee”, is fork of Daniel Foreman-Mackey’s wonderful emcee to implement parallel tempering more robustly. As far as possible, it is designed as a drop-in replacement for emcee.

If you’re trying to characterise awkward, multi-modal probability distributions, then ptemcee is your friend.
