Python module and command line tools for manipulating passwords.

NOTE: PWUtils requires Python 3. Tested with Python 3.4.

Features

  • simple random password generator

  • standard unix crypt(3) wrapper for generating and verifying hashed passwords

PWUtils packages are available from Cheese shop (PyPI) at https://pypi.python.org/pypi/pwutils
