Pythonic web development framework based on XML pipelines and WSGI
Project description
Pycoon is a Python web development framework which allows XML processing pipelines to handle HTTP requests based on URI pattern matching. It is similar in intention to the Apache Cocoon framework.
The architecture of pysitemap branch focuses on:
Full sitemap file format compatibility with Apache Cocoon
Heavy usage of WSGI modularity ideas
Optimization issues
This branch of Pycoon is a sophisticated WSGI middleware that dispatches requests based on Apache Cocoon sitemap logic. Data is processed by an XML pipeline composed of several WSGI applications and middleware components. An HTTP server WSGI interface and implementations of it (Pycoon front-end) are already complete. WSGI interfaces of sitemap components and implementations of them (Pycoon back-end) are in progress.
