Subile is a python script to download subtitles for videos. Subile supports multiple languages download

Installing

Install

pip install subile

Quickstart

Subile download subtitles with the same name of the video in the same directory with a subtitle extension. For example for a video called: hello.world.s01e04.mp4 a subtitle will be saved as hello.world.s01e04.srt

# download subtitles for your video in default language "English"
subile game.of.thrones.s04e10.hdtv.x264-killers.mp4

# download subtitles for your video in French using `-l fre`
subile -l fre game.of.thrones.s04e10.hdtv.x264-killers.mp4

# download subtitles for your video in Portuguese using `-l por`
subile -l por game.of.thrones.s04e10.hdtv.x264-killers.mp4

# get into interactive mode using `-i`
subile -i game.of.thrones.s04e10.hdtv.x264-killers.mp4
