Project description
A Pythonic substitute for Make, with Python scripts as configuration files, an embeddable build engine, support for a lot of compilers and tools, reliable, built-in dependency analysis, support for fetching code and derived files from repositories and source code management systems, and more. This is the direct descendant of the design which won the Software Carpentry build tool competition in August 2000.
