get-edition

A badger plugin that reads the Rust edition out of a Cargo.toml file and returns it as an edition: <edition> badge entry.

This is a static read of the [package].edition field — it doesn't verify that the code actually builds under that edition.

This package is not meant to be used as a standalone library — badger loads plugin.py's run() function directly as its entrypoint.
