codenova

Terminal companion for Codenova — ingest GitHub repos, chat with your codebase (RAG), and run the autonomous code-edit agent, all from the command line.

Install

pipx install codenova
# or
pip install codenova

Quick start

codenova login # opens your browser to sign in (GitHub OAuth or password)
codenova repo add <github_url> --watch
codenova ask "How does auth work in this repo?"
codenova chat # interactive RAG chat REPL
codenova edit start <repo> "Add input validation to the signup form"

Run codenova with no arguments to drop into an interactive shell — type commands without the codenova prefix, with live suggestions as you type:

$ codenova
codenova> repo list
codenova> chat

Commands

codenova config set core.api_url http://localhost:8000/api/v1
codenova config set core.frontend_url http://localhost:3000

or via environment variables: CODENOVA_API_URL, CODENOVA_FRONTEND_URL, CODENOVA_TOKEN.
