AWS Lambda OpenTelemetry Logging
Simple log formatter to get Otel log records on stdout in an AWS lambda.
Trying to use a collector in AWS lambda runtime is stupid and doing so for logging will lead to issues.
So the goal is simple:
- Write stuff that looks like OpenTelemetry, but uses AWS native services instead.
If you want a full collectorless and performant solution, probably look at https://github.com/dev7a/serverless-otlp-forwarder but if you just want to look like otel for log alerting, you can use this logging formatter.
