libpygo is a python library for working with the ancient board game, go. It is currently in the very early stages of development.

Initial development plan:

  1. Add GPL to project (DONE!)

  2. Create basic directory structure for project (DONE!)

  3. Write basic game class to run with tests (DONE!)

  4. Create documentation framework with API (DONE!)

  5. Create doc-testing framework (DONE!)

  6. Create unit-testing framework (WIP)

  7. Implement coverage testing.

  8. Create installation files.

  9. Upload downloadable installers.

  10. Create proper documentation.

  11. Upload the documentation somewhere.

Ongoing development plan:

  1. Design a Game class

  1. Write tests for processing both legal and illegal moves.

  2. Implement the tests in the Game class for a generic ruleset.

  3. Implement reading sgf files

  1. Create game interfaces

  1. Implement cli interface

  2. Implement Tkinter interface

  3. Implement web server interface

  4. Implement email server interface
