A simple stopwatch for measuring code performance with static typing.

Project description

Python-Stopwatch2

A simple stopwatch for measuring code performance. This is a fork from python-stopwatch, which adds static typing and a few other things.

Installing

To install the library, you can just run the following command:

# Linux/macOS
python3 -m pip install git+https://github.com/devRMA/python-stopwatch2.git

# Windows
py -3 -m pip install git+https://github.com/devRMA/python-stopwatch2.git

Examples

import time
from stopwatch import Stopwatch, profile

stopwatch.start()
time.sleep(3.0)
stopwatch.stop()
print(stopwatch.elapsed) # 3.003047182224691

with Stopwatch() as stopwatch2:
    time.sleep(3)
print(f'Time elapsed: {stopwatch2}') # Time elapsed: 3.0030s

    with Stopwatch(name='inner') as inner_stopwatch:
