Project description
This is a Python module for backporting common Python 2.3 features to 2.2.
The purpose of backporting Python programs to Python 2.2 is to allow greater compatibility with existing python setups. For example, Python 2.2 compatibility means that Python applications will be compatible with widely used Linux distibutions such as RedHat 9/8.0/7.3 and Fedora Core 1 straight out of the box.
