pyudev is a Python and PyQt4 binding for libudev, available under the terms fo the GNU LGPL 2.1 (see COPYING).
Refer to the website for detailed information and API documentation.
Installation
The binding is implemented in pure Python atop of ctypes and contains no native code. The only requirement is Python 2.6 or newer (Python 3.x is not supported as of now). Installation is therefore rather simple, just run:
python setup.py install
To load the module, libudev must be available.
