SimplyStatic is a command-line static website generator written in Python. It is simple to use, and it is meant to be used for simple websites: blogs, small company websites, product pages, or landing pages in which the most important feature is the content itself.
s2 uses very simple Mako templates to define the main areas of the page (content, header, footer, sidebars…) and CSS to style those elements. The content is written in Markdown.
s2 has been developed and tested in Ubuntu 12.04, with Python 2.7.
