vaultbeat-mcp has been renamed to vaultbeat-apple-health
Install this instead:
uvx vaultbeat-apple-health serve
This package still exists only to forward to the new one. It contains no code —
installing it installs vaultbeat-apple-health, and the vaultbeat-mcp command
keeps working because the new package still publishes it as an alias.
If you already have it set up, you do not need to do anything
Your existing command keeps working and now runs the current release. Nothing about your pairing, your keys, or your data changes — the rename was of the published package name only.
You may still want to update the command you have saved, because the old name will keep resolving through this forwarder rather than being the real thing.
Why you are reading this
The rename happened at 0.6.2, and until now this page still said the package was
called vaultbeat-mcp. Anyone who searched for it, installed it, and then ran
doctor to check they were current was told they were — because that build
asked PyPI about this name, which stopped moving at 0.6.1. Several releases of
fixes never reached those installs, including one that made the server report a
single page of results as if it were your entire history.
If you installed from this name any time after 2026-08-31, you were on 0.6.1. Re-running your command now gets you the current release.
What the package actually does
Vaultbeat is a local MCP server: your own AI agent reads your end-to-end encrypted Apple Health data — sleep, HRV, cycle, weight, workouts and more — decrypted only on your own machine. The cloud only ever holds ciphertext.
