FilterMags is a Python package designed to calculate the AB magnitude of an astronomical object in various filters for spectra data from the Sloan Digital Sky Survey (SDSS). For the mathematical details regarding the photometric system we used, see the pyphot photometry documentation.

How to install and run FilterMags?

FilterMags can be installed using the pip command or by following this link: https://pypi.org/project/FilterMags/0.0.6/

!pip install FilterMags==0.0.7

To run it we need to import the package as follows:

import FilterMags as fm
