PyEC is open-source optimization software. The current version is 0.2.5. The source code can be downloaded and installed with

python setup.py install

Or

easy_install pyec

There is a nosetests module in pyec/tests.py, you can run it with

nosetests pyec/tests.py

if you have nose installed (easy_install nose).
