Installation

Install this tool using pip:

pip install afrecord-win

Usage

Record audio from the default microphone:

afrecord

Specify a custom output file:

afrecord -o my_recording.wav
afrecord --output my_recording.wav

For help, run:

afrecord --help

You can also use:

python -m afrecord --help

Press Enter or Ctrl+C to stop recording.

Development

To contribute to this tool, first checkout the code. Then create a new virtual environment:

cd afrecord-win
python -m venv venv
source venv/bin/activate

Now install the dependencies and test dependencies:

pip install -e '.[test]'

To run the tests:

python -m pytest
