agents-md-gen (Python wrapper)
Generate a solid AGENTS.md (or CLAUDE.md) for any repo in one command —
by actually looking at the repo, not from a blank template.
pip install agents-md-gen
agents-md-gen
This is a thin Python wrapper: the actual tool is written in Node.js and
published on npm as agents-md-gen.
This package exists so it's discoverable via pip/pipx for Python
developers. It requires Node.js to be installed (it runs the real tool
via npx under the hood).
If you already have Node.js, you can skip this wrapper entirely and just run:
npx agents-md-gen

Why a wrapper instead of a native rewrite?
Keeping one implementation (Node.js) avoids maintaining two copies of the stack-detection logic that would drift out of sync. The wrapper's job is just discoverability for people who search PyPI instead of npm.
