Aidlab SDK simplifies the communication process with Aidlab and Aidmed One. The SDK also provides algorithms to manipulate received data so you don’t have to reinvent the wheel.
Supported platforms
The package publishes Python-ABI-independent platform wheels containing the matching native Aidlab SDK library:
- macOS 11 or newer: Intel and Apple Silicon (
universal2) - Windows: x86-64
- Linux: x86-64 and AArch64 (
manylinux_2_24or newer), plus ARMv7 (manylinux_2_31or newer)
Transport architecture
The Python SDK now supports two connection modes:
- Default mode (Aidlab-managed BLE scanner + transport)
- Custom mode (your own scanner/transport implementation)
Default mode

Orientation viewer
The source checkout includes an OpenGL viewer that compares the live
roll/pitch/yaw and quaternion orientation reported by one device. From the
Python/Aidlab directory in the repository, run:
python orientation_viewer.py --device aidlab2
Pass --address <BLE-address-or-UUID> when more than one matching device is
visible. The viewer is not installed as a package command; its dependencies are
available through the gui package extra.
