aither-capture
Turn the way you already code into a dataset you own.
aither-capture captures your AI coding sessions across Claude Code, Codex, GitHub
Copilot, Cursor, and Antigravity, normalizes them, removes secrets/PII, collapses
near-duplicates, and gives you a clean ShareGPT JSONL dataset you fully own — ready
to fine-tune anywhere (bring your own training).
Install
pip install aither-capture
Zero runtime dependencies (stdlib only).
Setup
The client drives the AitherCapture API on your AitherOS / AitherShell instance.
# Point at your AitherOS (default: https://localhost:8001 -- Genesis only speaks TLS)
export AITHER_CAPTURE_ENDPOINT="https://localhost:8001"
# Trust your instance's CA (certificates are always verified; no skip-verify switch)
export AITHER_CAPTURE_CA_BUNDLE="/path/to/your-instance-ca.pem"
# Optional: API key / bearer token for a remote/hosted instance
export AITHER_CAPTURE_TOKEN="sk-..."
The capture watcher reads each tool's local session store (
~/.claude, Cursor's SQLite DB,~/.codex, etc.), so it must run where your coding tools live — i.e. alongside a local AitherOS/AitherShell. For fully-hosted setups, run AitherShell locally and point the endpoint at it.
Usage
aither-capture connect # enable persistent capture (watcher + Claude hook)
aither-capture status # connected tools + stats
aither-capture sync # capture new sessions right now
aither-capture sessions --since 30 # list captured sessions
aither-capture export -o mydata.jsonl # build + download a clean ShareGPT dataset
aither-capture pool optin # contribute anonymized data, earn credits
aither-capture disconnect # stop capturing
