amie — Asynchronous Memory Intelligence Engine
Your private memory intelligence. Captures thoughts from anywhere, organises them into your Obsidian vault, and reflects insights back to you — entirely on your own hardware.
Hard constraints:
- No cloud services, no subscriptions.
- Local-first AI via Ollama only — your notes never leave your device.
- Built around your existing vault conventions:
KEY: valueheaders and lifecycle states#infant → #child → #developing → #adult → #on-ice → #removed.
Install
Prereqs: Python 3.12+, uv, Ollama.
pip install amie
amie init # detects your hardware, pulls the right Ollama models, wires up sync and the trigger service
amie doctor # verify everything is ready
Or from source:
git clone git@gitlab.com:nkosinathi1/amie.git
cd amie
uv sync
uv run amie init
