audio-resampler

Polyphase audio resampler as a Python extension. Downmix, resample and dtype conversion happen in a single pass over the buffer.

pip install audio-resampler

from audio_resampler import Converter, prewarm

conv = Converter(in_rate=48000, in_channels=2, out_rate=16000, out_channels=1, out_dtype="i16")
mono_16k = conv.process(stereo_48k_bytes)

# Optional: build coefficient tables up front instead of on first use.
prewarm([(48000, 16000)])

Wheels are abi3 and cover CPython 3.11+ on Linux, macOS and Windows.

Development

pip install maturin
maturin develop --release
