bashthing
bashthing profiles Bash 5 scripts and stores command traces and optional system-level data in SQLite.
Requires Python 3.14 and Bash 5 or newer.
Usage
uv sync --group dev
uv run bashthing run path/to/script.sh
uv run bashthing run path/to/script.sh --all
run uses the built-in DEBUG tracer. Add optional backends with repeatable --backend arguments, or use --all to run every usable backend and report those that cannot run. Available backend names are shellcheck, syscalls, execs, and probes.
Run uv run bashthing --help for all commands and options.
