BBDown
A free, convenient, and efficient command-line tool for downloading and parsing Bilibili videos.
Installation
Python 3.12 or later is required. Installation with uv is recommended:
uv tool install bbdown
You can also use pip:
python -m pip install bbdown
Install FFmpeg separately to download and mux audio and video. Check your environment with:
BBDown doctor
Configuration
Most options can be placed in BBDown.config, one argument per line:
--work-dir ./downloads
--skip-cover
--download-danmaku
Place the file in the current directory or select it with --config-file. Command-line arguments override the configuration file.
Scan a QR code to save account credentials when authenticated access is required:
BBDown login
BBDown logintv
Usage
Pass a BV/AV ID or video URL directly:
BBDown BV1xx411c7mD
BBDown "https://www.bilibili.com/video/BV1xx411c7mD"
View all options and other commands:
BBDown --help
BBDown serve --help
BBDown, bbdown, and bbd are equivalent commands.
