Beru
Agents that chat, use tools and work in your files, in your browser. One app: a chat with ready-made agents, your own agents and multi-agent workflows, any model provider (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, Groq, OpenRouter, Ollama and more) and MCP servers.
pipx install beru
beru serve
serve listens on 127.0.0.1:4562 and opens your browser. On the first run it prints a link that
signs you in and creates your owner account.
- Sign-in from the first run. Everyone gets their own account, and chats and runs are private.
- One working folder. Agents read and edit files in the folder you choose in Settings.
- Autonomy off until you turn it on. Agents read and search, and describe changes instead of making them, until an owner switches autonomy on.
- Your coding agents, at a glance. Settings shows which of Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, Gemini and OpenCode are installed and signed in. It only looks, and never reads their credentials.
Data lives in ~/.beru-agents. Linux, macOS and Windows (with Git for Windows for agents' shell commands). beru-agents is the same command
under its old name.
