Getting Started

Installation

pip install capo-location

Usage

from capo_location import AsyncLocationClient

async def main():
    async with AsyncLocationClient() as location:
        # Example: call the create_key operation
        response = await location.create_key()
        print(response["key"])

Pagination

Some operations in this SDK support pagination. If the operation supports pagination it will have an iter_ prefixed method that returns an async iterator.

from capo_location import AsyncLocationClient

async def main():
    async with AsyncLocationClient() as location:
        # Example: paginate over list_keys
        async for item in location.iter_list_keys():
            print(item)

Error Handling

The SDK raises exceptions for errors returned by the API. Catch them to handle failures gracefully.

from capo_location import AsyncLocationClient
from capo_location.error import AccessDeniedException

async def main():
    async with AsyncLocationClient() as location:
        try:
            await location.create_key()
        except AccessDeniedException as e:
            print(f"Error: {e}")
            print(e.data)  # additional error data

Retrying

The SDK retries failed operations automatically. Retry behaviour follows the Smithy specification: errors are retried based on their is_retryable and is_throttling_error attributes. Throttling errors use a longer base delay. Network-level failures (connection errors and timeouts) are also retried. Non-retryable errors, such as client errors without the @retryable trait, are raised immediately without further attempts.

The number of attempts defaults to 3 and can be changed at the client level via retry_max_attempts, or per call via config_overrides.

from capo_location import AsyncLocationClient

async def main():
    async with AsyncLocationClient() as location:
        # Default: 3 attempts for every operation
        response = await location.create_key()

        # Override per operation
        response = await location.create_key(config_overrides={"retry_max_attempts": 5})

        # Disable retries for this call
        response = await location.create_key(config_overrides={"retry_max_attempts": 1})

Provenance

Provenance describes where a file came from. On PyPI, provenance is shared via attestations, which provide a verifiable record of the build or publishing details. View details, limitations and caveats.

No provenance found

None of the files in this release were uploaded with provenance metadata.

A note on package security

PyPI is a repository for distributing packages, not a service for auditing them. While third-party security researchers and our staff do their best to detect and remove malicious packages, PyPI cannot guarantee the quality, security or suitability of any given package.
