Prerequisites

Make sure you have the following software installed:

• python ^3.12
• poetry ^2.1.3

Install python dependencies using poetry and activate the virtual environment:

poetry env use python3.12
poetry install
eval $(poetry env activate)

Lastly, install pre-commit hooks by running:

pre-commit install

Updating project template

To update the project template, run copier update and answer template questions:

copier update --trust

Review the changes Copier made to your project:

git diff

Resolve any merge conflicts, then stage and commit the changes:

git add .
git commit -m "Updated project template"
git push
