clearcomply · Python SDK + CLI + MCP bridge

The official Python toolkit for ClearComply — an agent-ready IP compliance API covering official patent and trademark sources you select (USPTO, EUIPO, WIPO, EPO, Google Patents, KIPRIS and more).

pip install clearcomply
# or, for the CLI globally:
pipx install clearcomply

Default API is https://clearcomply.space. For a local server:

export CLEARCOMPLY_BASE_URL=http://127.0.0.1:18611

Quick start

from clearcomply import ClearComply

pc = ClearComply()  # reads CLEARCOMPLY_API_KEY, or auto-onboards a 7-day trial key

# Patent search
result = pc.search("wireless earphones", entity_type="patent",
                   sources=["google_patents", "wipo_patentscope"])
print(result.markdown)            # LLM-ready markdown
print(result.source_results)      # structured records

# Trademark search
pc.search("nike", entity_type="trademark", sources=["euipo", "uspto_tm"])

# Risk analysis
pc.analyze("nike", entity_type="trademark", prompt="Conflict risk summary")

# Logo / image search
with open("logo.png", "rb") as fp:
    pc.search_image(fp, entity_type="trademark")

CLI

clearcomply auth login --key cc_live_... # save the key from /account
clearcomply auth login                       # or auto-onboard a 7-day trial
clearcomply search "nike" --type trademark --sources euipo,uspto_tm
clearcomply analyze "wireless earphones" --type patent --sources uspto_patent,espacenet
clearcomply sources health
clearcomply mcp serve # stdio MCP bridge
clearcomply skill install --target claude-code

Skill install targets

skill install --target supports:

target path
claude-code ~/.claude/skills/clearcomply/
openclaw ~/.openclaw/workspace/skills/clearcomply/
cursor ~/.cursor/skills/clearcomply/
codex ~/.codex/skills/clearcomply/
gemini-cli ~/.gemini/skills/clearcomply/
opencode ~/.opencode/skills/clearcomply/

MCP

// Claude Desktop / Cursor / VS Code (.cursor/mcp.json):
{
  "mcpServers": {
    "clearcomply": {
        "url": "https://clearcomply.space/mcp",
      "transport": "streamable-http",
      "headers": {"Authorization": "Bearer cc_live_..."}
    }
