Update
What's New in v1.26.1
- I have changed the version name from 1.2.26.0, to 1.26.1, because I think this is easier to remember and read.
- Modular Refactoring: Cleaned up the core binary (
cxc.py) by removing old dead code and splitting the script into lightweight modules (chat,colors,config,downloader, andmpx). - Introducing Music Player X (MPX): A new interactive shell mode for managing your music folder.
- Current Playback Features:
play <number>: Plays a specific song by its index.play all: Plays all songs in the folder sequentially.
⚠️ IMPORTANT NOTES FROM THE DEVELOPER:
- Minimalist Feature: As a solo developer handling this entire project alone, the playback feature is currently minimal. Loop arguments (
--loop) are not supported yet in this version.- Input Buffering Delay: Due to how subprocess terminal routing works,
mpvcontrols (likespaceto pause orqto quit) will experience delay. If a keypress doesn't respond immediately, please press the key 2 to 3 times consecutively to force it.
Notes Sorry in Version 1.26.0 I forgot to add a new module to setup.py due to my negligence in version 1.26.0 it couldn't be run, in version 1.26.1 I have updated this, that's all from me.
Before using the chat feature, please set your configuration first in "~/.config/cxc/config.py"
I will update regularly but I can't guarantee it, so see you in the next update.
