databex
A small command-line tool that parses XML and emits a JSON tree. Each node contains its tag, attributes, text, ordered children, and trailing text (tail). Empty or formatting-only text is emitted as null.
Usage
databex document.xml
cat document.xml | databex -
The package uses Python's standard-library XML parser and has no runtime dependencies.
