devplane

This npm package is a name reservation. It installs nothing.

Devplane is the local-first control plane for AI coding agents: one binary that watches every Claude Code session already running on your machine, gates what any of them may do against rules your repository commits, and makes done mean your project's checks passed.

It is written in Rust and is published on crates.io. This package holds the name here so that npx devplane can become the installer later, and so that nobody else publishes something called devplane in the meantime.

When this package becomes real

npx devplane is a planned entry point: a thin wrapper that fetches the released binary for your platform and runs it. Until that ships, running this package prints these instructions and exits non-zero — because a reserved name that exits 0 reads as a success it did not earn.
