dikasta

The terminal client for Dikasta, a hosted service where one model plans, a model from a different family challenges the plan, workers do bounded work and cite file and line, and every citation is checked before it is believed.

The client reads and edits the working copy of your repository under its policy; the service plans, reviews and runs every model on its own API keys. Nothing is sent to a model provider from your machine, and no provider key is kept on it.

Install

macOS or Linux, Python 3.12 or later:

pipx install dikasta

Accounts are by invitation: your invitation link creates your account. Then, in a terminal:

dikasta login

With no address, the client asks the service's site which coordinator to use, keeps the answer, and falls back to https://api.dikasta.ai when the site cannot be reached. dikasta login --host https://COORDINATOR-ADDRESS signs in at another deployment's coordinator.

Work

cd your-repository
dikasta

dikasta doctor checks this computer, the service and your sign-in, and names the fix for anything that fails. dikasta --help lists every command.

Upgrade

dikasta upgrade

It says whether the service publishes a newer client or no longer accepts this one, and upgrades it the way it was installed, with pipx or pip, once you say yes. dikasta upgrade --check only reports.
