Duplicity
Duplicity provides encrypted, bandwidth-efficient backups by producing encrypted tar-format volumes and uploading them to a remote or local file server. It uses the rsync algorithm for space-efficient incremental archives and GnuPG for security.
Key Features
- Encrypted & Signed: Backups are safe from spying and modification using GnuPG.
- Bandwidth Efficient: Only transmits changes since the last backup using the rsync algorithm.
- Incremental Archives: Saves space by storing only the parts of files that have changed.
- Multiple Backends: Supports a wide range of storage services (S3, Azure, B2, Google Drive, etc.) and protocols (SFTP, SCP, FTP, etc.).
