Dynatrace OneAgent code module for Python

The dynatrace-oneagentpython package bundles the Dynatrace OneAgent code module for Python. It enables Dynatrace to instrument Python applications in environments where OneAgent must be a build-time dependency — packaged and deployed alongside the application itself.

When to use this package

This is the right integration when OneAgent cannot be injected or integrated at runtime such as via the K8s operator, or cloud service extensions. A typical scenario is a serverless function where the deployment artifact must be self-contained (e.g. Azure Functions). Getting started

or

pip install dynatrace-oneagentpython==VERSION_NUMBER
pip freeze > requirements.txt

(the ==VERSION_NUMBER part is optional, latest will be used if left out)
