easynest-json
easynest-json is a lightweight Python library that allows you to safely navigate and extract values from deeply nested dictionaries and JSON structures using simple dot-notation strings, completely eliminating KeyError, TypeError, and verbose conditional chains.
Features
- Safe Extraction: Never crashes on missing intermediate keys or incorrect types.
- Dot-Notation Paths: Easily query deep paths like
user.profile.settings.theme. - List Indexing Support: Query list elements directly via numeric indices in the path string (e.g.,
users.0.name). - Custom Fallbacks: Define custom default values if a key doesn't exist.
Installation
Install the library via pip:
