Command Line Usage
List All Environment Configurations
envdo list
Interactive Environment Selection
envdo select <command>
Run Command with Specified Environment
envdo gpt-5.2 <command>
Edit Configuration File
envdo e
envdo edit
Opens the currently used .envdo.json (project directory first, then ~/.envdo.json) in your editor. The editor is resolved via $VISUAL / $EDITOR (both support arguments such as code --wait), defaulting to vi. envdo e opens the file even if its JSON is currently invalid, so you can repair it; the file is validated after the editor closes.
Other Commands
envdo -v # Show version
envdo --version
envdo -h # Show help
envdo --help
envdo e # Edit the currently used .envdo.json file
envdo edit
Configuration Notes
- Configuration file priority:
.envdo.jsonin current directory >~/.envdo.jsonin user directory - On first run, if the configuration file does not exist, an example configuration file will be automatically created
- Sensitive information (containing keywords TOKEN, KEY, PASSWORD, SECRET, AUTH, CREDENTIAL, etc.) will be automatically displayed as
*** - Editor priority for
envdo e:$VISUAL>$EDITOR>vi
